The Morning After... nothing really much happened...

The rooms are quiet and warm. The front area, dimmed, shows only Billy, sleeping, under blankets, on the large sofa. His breathing is quiet and slow as he dreams of Cassie and other things pleasant.

The bedroom, also, quiet, contains a large bed, and in it, tucked away, is a Cassie, sleeping deeply.

The sun, a very thin strip escaping the curtains of the large window, creeps to the bed and then illuminates her face.

But all is silent.

Cassie eventually begins to stir from pretty dreams about flying with Superman. She moves her hand and something registers in her brain that it feels different. Her eyes open, slowly at first, but then they fly open when everything is the wrong color and shape..
She sits up and looks around. Uh. I've never been here before.. Where-

Wait.

I knows that chair. She looks back at the bed. I know this bed. Billy bought it when we wen-

Billy.

I was down in the bar with Billy and..I fell asleep..
This must be Billy's bedroom. She looks around again. Then she bends her knees and places her elbows on her knees and rests her chin on her hand.

Well.

..

Should I stay here, go search for Billy or try to find things to make breakfast?

Out in the front area, something wakes Billy suddenly, and he listens, but hears nothing. He rolls out of the sofa and pads to the kitchenette, and starts the mini-stove.

He searches in the little fridge he got and finds eggs and waffles, and strawberries.

As he gets things ready and starts, he thinks.

I wonder if Cassie is still sleeping? I wonder if she slept well?

He is embarassed that he almost immediately fell asleep last night. He grins. She looked so cute when he settled her to bed.

He shrugs and continues cooking. Soon, nice smells start wafting through the rooms.

About the time she decides to search the apartment for either Billy or food, she hears noises. That'll make it easier to find him.

She comes out from the bedroom and goes over behind him kind of sheepishly.

"Um. Good Morning."

He jumps slightly, then smiles as he sees her.

"Good morning, beautiful."

He leans in to kiss her.

"Did you sleep okay?"

He turns back walfway, to watch the eggs.

She smiles.

"I did sleep well. Did you?"

He nods.

"Yep. The sofa is nice. Glad we chose that one and not the one I had seen."

He grins at her.

"I hope you like eggs and waffles?"

Shifty, "I'm sorry that you slept on the sofa..

And yes, waffles and eggs good."

He smiles.

"It ws my pleasure. You were dead to the world. And besides, you looked cure when I laid you out."

His smile at her is goofy.

She blushes slightly.
"Didn't mean to just..warm and..
uh..
Things.."

He blinks.

"Huh?"

Sorry... that didnt make any sense to the narration either...

To save Cassie from turning redder it's probably best that he didn't completely understand.

"I was tired?

How are the eggs?"

He raises an eyebrow at her, but nods.

"They are cooking. A few more minutes and they will be done."

He smiles.

"I like cooking."

She smiles.

"I used to help out Mom alot in the kitchen.

..and take over whenever Sam tried to cook something."

He grins and shifts things, eyeing the toaster.

"The waffles ought to be up soon."

Then he laughs.

"Oh?"

"Yeah. I quickly learned that if I wanted it to be edible, and it was more complicated than coffee or tea, I should take over.

She tries it just never seems to work for her."

He chuckles as he scoops uop the eggs onto plates, then dishes out the waffles as well, and places the plates next to the witing margarine and jam.

"Have at!"

"Thank you."
She begins to put some jam onto the waffles and takes a bite. "Mm is good!" She continues eating happily.

He grins and digs in too, watching her and eating. Being with her, breakfast, that was all goodly.

He grins after awhile.

"Was the bed okay? I didnt want to wake you after you started falling asleep... you felt... right."

His cheeks go pink.

She smiles shyly.

"The bed was..is..very comfy.."

He grins.

"Good. You are welcoem to stay over anytime."

He glances out at the front area.

"That sofa we got is pretty comfortable too!"

Then he glances at her sidelong.

"And... it was nice, having you here."

She blushes.

"Anything can be comfortable when you're tired..



But it..it was nice."

He smiles as he finishes breakfast and washes his dish and fork.

"Feel free to wash up, if you like. The bathroom has extra towels and all."

He smiles then leans in to kiss her.

She kisses him back softly.

After a moment of consideration,
"But..I need clothes.."

Not that she really wants to leave.

He blushes.

After making his brain not go to the gutter, a thing which took quite a few minutes, he finally nodded and shook out his hands.

"One last little trick... what kind of clothes do you want?"

Cassie turns reeeed and makes a conscious effort not to flail.

"Uh.

Just.

It doesn't matter?"
