Billy was hunting
Billy was not-quite frantic.
Billy was also trying to not show this in feelings or facial expressions.
Billy was screwed.
Billy had LOST the ring. THE RING. The one he was going to use, someday, maybe soon, maybe not, to ask her(Cassie) to marry him.
And he had lost it.
Somehow.
When he had realized he had lost it, he had felt a sharp blast of panic, but covered it up with spilling his coffee. Since then he was trying to keep a lid on his emotions and search and find it and hopefully not let her know and ohgod

Every once in awhile she'd glance up at Billy as he roamed the apartment.
At first it was somewhat amusing. But after the seventh or so time of going in and out of the bedroom she's starting to get concerned.
Without looking up from her book, "You're beginning to remind me of Orion when he gets restless."

He isnt sure, at all, and that thought makes him worry, some, and feel bad, but ... if he had to replace it, he will. He sighs and holds her close.
