OOM: A little Movie Magic

Billy grins as he settles into the comfy couch. The DvD player is ready, movies are lined up, soda provided, popcorn popped, Everything in readiness. He feels nervous as heck though. He sits and bounces a bit.

Steph comes padding in from the hall, barefoot, wearing tracksuit pants and a tank top, her hair still hanging in damp tangles from the shower.

"Hi, you." She leans over the couch to kiss his forehead.

he smiles and reaches up to gently carress her hair, also managing to kiss her, on the lips, softly.

"hello there, yourself."

He is dressed in a small t shirt and shorts.

That's invitation enough. Instead of walking around to sit down on the couch, she tumbles over the back of it, landing beside him and wrapping her arms around his neck so she can keep kissing him.

Eventually - "What movie?"

He grins and totally kisses the heck out of her too.

"Star Wars, Original. Classics, you know? In all their cheesy glory."

"Sounds great," says Steph, happily. "I always wanted to see those. Never had a chance before." She wriggles around so she's facing the screen, resting her head against his chest and wrapping her arms in a sort of backwards hug around him. It's all about physical contact, for someone as affection-starved as Steph. She loves just knowing he's there.

He grins down at her, slipping an arm aroundish her so his hand is resting on her stomach. His other hand flicks the remote starting the movie.

"I am really glad you're here. I missed you."

"Me too." She squeezes him, and turns her head up to kiss him again.

On the screen, ignored by Steph, the words A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... appear.

he grins and pokes her.

"Movie starting, you. Watching be, or regret you will... or soemthing silly like that..."

On cue, the theme music blares, and the logo appears. Startled, Steph giggles and returns her attention to the screen.

"...that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy," she finishes reading, and laughs. "Awesome."

He laughs and rolls his eyes.

"You are such a goofyball, but cute."

he fixes his eyes on the film, only glancing at her every few minutes.

"...who's that guy, in black?" Steph demands, when Vader makes his smoke-and-doom-filled entrance. "Bad guy or good guy? He's got minions in white, they've gotta be good guys, right?"

"Darth Vader, and stormtroopers, all evil, badguys all... sneaky that!"

he grins at her.

"Colors dont mean much in this movie."

"You know, I've totally seen that prissy droid in the bar, I swear," Steph says, thoughtfully. "D'you reckon?"

"Threepio? yep. he's here, and so is Leia sometimes and han, who you will meet later."

he grins.

"Someone snuck over a dimensional line somewhere and saw some events, then made a movie."

"Dude! That's awesome. Milliways is cool."

(Onscreen: "There'll be no-one to stop us this time!")

Steph laughs. "They'll get stopped," she says, grinning. "They always say that, and they always lose. Bad guys are so dumb."

"It's the exposition. You always know they will ebs topped when they make grand statements. That is why silent villains are sscary."

he hugs her close, hand rubbing her belly a little.

"I totally never realised that before. Cool!"

The hands-behind-his-back position is getting uncomfortable; she wriggles until she's lying against him, and covers his hand lightly with her own. They watch quietly as the droids are kidnapped, Steph giggling at Artoo's squeal.

"This movie rocks."

He grins, watching her.

"I love your laugh."

he doesnt realize he has said it out liud till he hears it and leans in to kiss her upside down.

Artoo and Threepio flail their way across the dunes and into the Jawa's captivity. Owen barters for them, and eventually, Luke turns up.

Steph doesn't notice any of it until Luke speaks. Kissing Billy's much more fun. But at that voice, she breaks off, breathless, and turns to stare.

"He sounds just like the Joker! Only younger. That's just weird."

Billy, Startled byt he kiss breaking, blinks.

"Really?"

He listens.

"Wow... he really does!"

Steph snuggles into him, eyes glued to Luke. "Wow, that's kind of creepy. Is that guy in the Bar, too?"

He is glad to snuggle her right back with kissage.

"I know he has been there but I dont know if he is there now."

[alwaysroomforhope]

"She's not that beautiful," Steph comments, as Leia's holo asks for help. "I mean, she's got doughnuts on her head. If I wore my hair in doughnuts, would you think I was beautiful?" She grins.

he laughs.

"I always think you are beautiful."

he kisses her hard."

Mmmm. Yes, this movie is definitely a good idea. Steph kisses just as fervently as he, using her free hand to stroke the nape of his neck and pull him in.

Behind her, on the screen, Luke is chasing Artoo across the desert in a landspeeder, and Owen is whinging.
