William smiles as he escorts her to the outer door of the hotel. The huge lobby is well designed and decorated and they dont bar an eye at the man in the suit and woman in a dress coming out of a closet door.
"The Club is right across the street. I figured establishing a door here would be better so that we can come back through withiout having to cross half a city."
They exit the hotel and stands outside, a small wind cuitting dow the street. He smiles as he waves a hand across the street.
"There it is."
A sign saying 'Appelago's' lights up the streets with a tasteful neon sign, if such can be said to be tasteful.

Date: 2006-04-27 07:11 am (UTC)He glances both ways, then escorts her across the street to the other side and past a line at the door. When they reach the doorman, the man actually smiles, which looks like it might break his face and waves Willim and Millie through.
Inside is noise, but William leads her on a sharp right and into s amller area, where they can still see the club floor, and yet not be assaulted by the noise.
"Sound baffles on three walls. it is a good palce to catch your breath and rest and also to look before you leap."

Date: 2006-04-28 05:09 am (UTC)He grins and gestures for two drinks from a passing waiter.
"Will you enjoy the dancing down there, or do you want to dance up here?"
There are maybe a dozen or two people in the area, dancing, talking. A few are snuggling close and kissing.

Date: 2006-04-28 05:12 am (UTC)"Up here. My eardrums will appreciate it, and we'll still be able to talk."

Date: 2006-04-28 05:16 am (UTC)"I like to come here and watch sometimes... it always amazes me what people do in places like this."
he grins at her.

Date: 2006-04-28 05:24 am (UTC)"I know just what you mean. I could probably blackmail half my hometown with stuff I've picked up at places like this. They always assume that a huge crowd means no one's going to notice. . ."
no subject
Date: 2006-04-28 05:30 am (UTC)"Yep. In fact... look at that."
Down in the crowd, just at it's edge, two figures were moving together. It wouldnt be apparent from the ground but from slightly above, they could see the man moving just off rhythm with the woman, in tell tale movements.
"Some people will dare anything."

Date: 2006-04-28 05:43 am (UTC)"Honestly. You'd think they'd at least try for a corner . . . I have to feel sorry for his girlfriend."
no subject
Date: 2006-04-28 05:48 am (UTC)He shakes his head and turns from the spectacle. Even as he does, music starts again.
"Hmmm, care to do some normal dancing? Well, as normal as these dances get?"
He puts his drink down and extends his hand again to her as he did in the bar.

Date: 2006-04-28 06:00 am (UTC)"I'd love to. Any dance partner who doesn't leave you wincing. . ."
This covers both the other couple and many, many cases of stepped-on toes.

Date: 2006-04-28 06:08 am (UTC)He leads her into the dance. It is fast and bouncy and to the music, but he starts it slow, just in case it is a new one to her.
It is at this point that the mun wonders at the wisdom of having a character who loves to dance as much as this one does when this mun has no clue what dances are popular. The mun apologizes thusly.

Date: 2006-04-28 06:24 am (UTC)"I don't see any sense in combining pain with dancing. Really, it defeats the purpose."
This mun offers sympathies and doesn't know any real dances(though she could probably do a passable Time Warp), so it shall be assumed that the pups know what they're doing.

Date: 2006-04-28 06:27 am (UTC)"Exactly. Dancing is about enjoying the movement and the feel of bodies and the rhythm... pain is best kept for other things, and other times."
He grins.
"Everyone has their own thing I suppose."

Date: 2006-04-30 12:09 am (UTC)She flashes a grin.
"Or if you are, it doesn't really qualify as dancing anymore."

Date: 2006-04-30 01:13 am (UTC)"You are funny and ... very cool."
He grins.
"They are about to zoom forward into the next phase of dancing, fast stuff. You want to try some? Or sit it out?"
no subject
Date: 2006-04-30 01:29 am (UTC)She smiles and moves closer to him.

Date: 2006-04-30 01:31 am (UTC)He winks and starts to dance. His dance is graceful and somewhere outside of style, something sinuous but not really styled after anything real. But he enjoys it and he watches her as well, grinning.

Date: 2006-04-30 01:50 am (UTC)he returns the smile full force, being in his element here, and loving it. For the moment it isnt about coming on to her or even the date, just about the dance... which may be why, sometime during it, his dancing is no longer on ground, but about two feet up.

Date: 2006-04-30 02:11 am (UTC)As the dance blends into anotehr and then slowly comes to a stop, he takes her hand and gives her a mid air bow, then kisses that hand. His eyes are positively gleaming now.
